A PRINTING company is creating 64 new jobs, just three months after opening for business.
Washington Web Ltd, has invested £2m in its state-of-the-art factory, in Washington, Tyne & Wear, after successfully applying for a DTI grant.
The investment has been made in the most up-to-date machinery, enabling the company to offer an extensive in-house service, starting from graphic design and extending through every stage of the renographics process, to final print and world-wide distribution.
Paul Hutchinson, managing director of the firm, said: "Our own investment in the business and the DTI grant we received have enabled us to set up an operation here in the North-East which is second to none.
"We are building up a broad client base, both nationally and internationally, and work on a diverse range of publications, leaflets and brochures."
The business is hoping that its success will have a positive effect on the North-East economy as a whole.
The company has a policy of sourcing goods and services locally wherever possible, including a lot of its paper, which comes from the Sunderland paper mill.
Mr Hutchinson continued: "We are determined to offer the very best in design and print services available in the North-East.
"To this end we have employed highly skilled staff, all of whom are experts in their particular field."
