LIFE is looking rosy for an injured German Shepherd rescued after a road accident last Friday.
The sweet-natured dog is being cared for by County Durham vet Paul Wilson after being found by police in the Trimdon Grange area.
Staff at Paul's Bishop Auckland surgery have called her Poppy and are trying to find her a home.
They think she is about five years old and has been well cared for in the past.
Practice administrator Rachel Booth said: "One of Poppy's front legs was dislocated at the elbow when she came in, and she had a few cuts and bruises, but she should make a full recovery.
"She has a lovely nature and is absolutely gorgeous. We are hoping to hear from her owner but, if not, there must be someone who can give her a home."
Anyone who recognises Poppy or can offer to take her in should contact the surgery in Tenters Street, Bishop Auckland, on (01388) 602707
