REGULARS at a North-East pub could be forgiven for thinking they've walked into the wrong bar after a major refurbishment.
Traditional local The Traveller's Rest, in Forster Street, Consett, is due to reopen by the end of the month after a £35,000 overhaul.
But landlords Theresa Shannon and Geoff Winter promise they won't forget the old regulars.
Mrs Shannon said: "Although the pub looks new it will still keep its important elements such as good drink and friendly atmosphere.
"We will still be home to the darts, pool and domino teams, as well as the leek club."
