A PRODUCTION of family favourite The Sleeping Beauty is coming to Chester-le-Street.
The town's community centre, in Newcastle Bank, is to host the pantomime, by Chester-le-Street Theatre Group junior section, next month.
Directed by Bill Stephenson, and produced by Julie Dryden, the show features a youthful cast, aged six to 16.
The show runs from Monday, November 27, to Saturday, December 2, at 7.15pm each day, with a Saturday matinee performance at 2.15pm.
Tickets are £4 for adults and £3 for children.
Mr Stephenson, who is chairman of the group, said: "Bookings have been brisk, and we have almost sold out for the Saturday evening and matinee shows."
The group's senior section is in rehearsals for a production of Barefoot in the Park, which will be staged at the same venue, in February. To book seats, ring 0191 3857500.
