A CONFERENCE to highlight the dangers of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning had to be postponed because one of the speakers was ill.
The Council of Gas Detection and Environment Monitoring (CoGDEM) had organised the conference in Darlington yesterday.
The event was aimed at educating housing associations, the local authority and medical professionals, as well as private landlords and tenants.
A number of leading experts in the field of engineering and CO detection were to present case studies highlighting measures to protect people from CO gas, dubbed the silent killer.
CoGDEM says the conference will still go ahead, but at a later date next year.
It has been pencilled in for Tuesday, February 13, at the Hall Garth Golf and Country Club Hotel, Darlington. Delegates will be sent a reminder nearer the date
