Willington Ladies League

Willington Club, who lead both the darts and dominoes sections, went down in both when they entertained the Prospect Club. However the only effect was that their lead was cut but they still remain top in both.

In the darts section the Prospect closed the gap to only three points, while holding a six point advantage over the third placed Sunnybrow Brown Trout. In the dominoes section, Willington Club now lead the Joiners Arms by two points with the Quarry Burn B a further point adrift.

CIU League

The final of the League Knock Out Cup went down to the final black in the last game of pool when Ferryhill entertained Crowtrees. The match see-sawed throughout as the teams played rounds of games of darts, dominoes and pool.

In the first round of games Ferryhill went two up when Phil Nixon beat Colin Barron at darts and Steve Webster beat John Gilmore at pool, but Crowtrees took the dominoes when Steve Bell beat Howard Redfearn.

Crowtrees then took all three of the second round through Gary Galloway at darts, Jimmy Madgin at dominoes and Colin Barron at pool. Ferryhill replied by taking all three points from the third round with wins from Gary Taylor at darts, Steve Wray at dominoes and Steve Burnside at pool, following a re-rack.

Crowtrees levelled the match at six-all when John Gilmore took a darts point and Dennis Smith a dominoes point with Gary Taylor taking the pool point for Ferryhill.

In the final round of games Dave Bestford took a darts point with Crowtrees Phil Whitfield levelling by scoring at dominoes. This left the match to be decided on the frame of pool still being played. Steve Wray had three attempts at the black against George Hutchinson before sinking it to take Ferryhill to victory
