A JUDGE jailed John Wheatley, 21, yesterday after telling him he had the worst record for car crime he had ever seen.
Wheatley admitted stealing three cars, taking three more without consent, and asked for six similar offences to he taken into consideration.
The vehicle were all taken from the Aycliffe area of County Durham in August and September, and Wheatley was a disqualified driver, Teesside Crown Court was told.
Peter Boddy, defending, said Wheatley was travelling between Newton Aycliffe and Redcar where his girlfriend, lives, and most of the vehicle were recovered undamaged.
Wheatley, now of Queen Street, Redcar, was jailed for 21 months and banned from driving for another three years
