A FOOTBALL crazy weekend is being held in Hartlepool in support of a national children's charity.
Hartlepool United has supported the NSPCC campaign to end cruelty to children throughout the year and this weekend a special event is planned at the club.
Football fans will be encouraged to raise funds for the Full Stop campaign in a variety of ways.
NSPCC Full Stop badges and T-shirts will be on sale in the Hartlepool Football Club shop and fans will be encouraged to make a donation to the charity on-line by clicking on the virtual collecting tin at the top of the club's website news page.
At today's match against visitors Leyton Orient, the players will warm up before the crowd wearing Full Stop T-shirts, and baseball caps will be handed out to youngsters in the stands.
Mascot H'Angus will be wearing a giant Full Stop badge throughout the game.
Statistics show that one mullion children will suffer cruelty before they are 18 - enough to fill Wembley Stadium 13 times
