BUDDING entrepreneurs in North Durham will get advice on making their ideas come to fruition today.
A seminar on launching into business is being held at Durham County Cricket Club's Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street at 9.30am.
It is one of a series of Start Right seminars that are being organised across the country by the National Federation of Enterprise Agencies.
The event will be hosted by the small business team of Barclays Bank at Chester-le-Street and Durham, and the Chester-le-Street and City of Durham Enterprise Agency.
Aspiring business people will be given practical advice on all aspects of starting up and running their own ventures.
Anne Hillaby, principal bank manager for Barclays in Durham, said: "I am sure that there are large numbers of people in the Chester-le-Street and Durham area with a burning ambition to run their own business, but who have no idea how to get started or where to go for help and advice.
"Start Right is designed for them.
"It aims to show that it is possible to turn an ambition or a dream into a viable and successful business proposition."
Ron Batty, chief executive of the enterprise agency, said: "A formidable body of expertise will be on hand at the event to demystify and explain the steps needed to get a business up and running and on track for success."
