AMBULANCEMAN Chris Myers is preparing for a two-day mountain marathon for charity.
For months, the 25-year-old, from Scarborough, has been focussing on the Karrimor International Mountain Marathon.
Tomorrow, he sets off on the orienteering race, starting from Millom, in Cumbria.
Competitors will carry camping gear, and will navigate using map and compass.
The event will cover 50 miles of tough terrain.
"I've always wanted to tackle the run, and I thought I'd combine it by supporting a good cause, the British Heart Foundation," said Mr Myers.
