A FOOTBALL club is hoping to top the fundraising league through a sponsored walk involving schools from across Teesside.
The Great Boro Toddle has been organised by Middlesbrough Football Club to launch its efforts in aid of the NSPCC's Full Stop Campaign.
Starting with a group of toddlers and involving more than 280 children from the area, the epic trek will snake around the club's home at the BT Cellnet Riverside Stadium tomorrow.
Diane O'Connell, a public relations officer for Middlesbrough FC, said: "Every Premiership club is raising money for this worthy cause. The NSPCC will publish a league table of who raised the most, so we want to raise as much as we possibly can and top that table.
