HIGH quality Shakespeare is again being brought to audiences in the North-East and cast members spent yesterday putting the finishing touches to As You Like It.
The play, performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company, will run at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle as part of the company's new season on Tyneside, continuing its long-standing links with the region.
Yesterday actors, including Peter Copley, pictured here playing Adam, were going through final rehearsals before the play was presented to the public, for its run, which ends on Saturday.
The RSC is staging productions at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle Playhouse and Gulbenkian Theatre throughout November.
