SEDGEFIELD Borough Council has set aside £100,000 for improvements to properties in Front Street, Tudhoe.
They are among 400 pre-1919 homes in the borough. The other large concentration is at Dean Bank, Ferryhill.
A report to the council's scrutiny committee today says 19 Front Street tenants want their homes in the scheme.
But the programme has been delayed because of flooding problems in transit properties.
Single Regeneration Budget grants have been announced for Ferryhill and Chilton, so the council says it will work with Three Rivers Housing on improving the older properties in Dean Bank.
