AN EXHIBITION of stained glass reflecting on the theme of good neighbours has been unveiled.
Pupils from seven schools in Gateshead yesterday met the borough council's director of education Brian Edwards at a special viewing of their glass work at the Shipley Art Gallery.
The Creative Learning exhibition is part of the large scale Arts Are Ours in Gateshead Schools project, containing work from children of varying ages.
The youngsters worked with glass artist Sue Woolhouse to create the stained glass panels on the theme of good neighbours.
Other schools worked with different artists on varying themes and projects using sculpture, digital and video.
Ms Woolhouse said: "I preferred mixing the ages and classes of children wherever possible.
"These classes were the most rewarding with children of different cultures, ages and backgrounds helping one another."
Creative Learning will be on display at the Shipley Art Gallery, in Prince Consort Road, Gateshead, until Sunday. Admission is free.
