FOOTBALL facilities in Hartlepool could get a boost if a council bid is approved.
Hartlepool Borough Council has submitted a bid for £2.7m from the Football Association's National Games Board.
The council has worked with the Durham Football Association and local teams to draw up the bid, which would improve facilities in Hartlepool, including Grayfields, Seaton Park, Central Park and Rift House.
The money, part of a multi-million pound pot of cash available for investment in grassroots football, would help provide new changing facilities and improve pitches.
