ANIMAL lovers in East Cleveland are urged to foster dogs and cats.
Saltburn Animal Rescue Association is desperate for volunteers to help look after animals.
The charity is raising funds to build its own sanctuary. It now has a total of £22,000 including a £1,000 donation from The Victorian Footballers and Friends in Saltburn, an anonymous £1,000 gift and £1,148 raised from a Walkies Day held during the summer.
The charity can now start looking for suitable sites for the sanctuary and is hoping local businesses will provide sponsorship.
Anyone interested in helping the association or providing foster care to dogs and cats should call (01287) 633338
