PARADES and services for this year's Remembrance Day will be taking place throughout Redcar.
On Saturday, November 11, a parade will form at the Lifeboat Station at 10.45am and march along the High Street to the junction of Dundas Street for the service of remembrance.
On Sunday, November 12, a parade will form at the Royal British Legion at 10.30am, setting off at 10.40am. The parade, led by the Cleveland Police Band, will march along the sea front to West Terrace, round the clock to Coatham Road and on to the Cenotaph for the service of remembrance.
The salute will be taken by Redcar and Cleveland mayor Arthur Dobson outside the Royal British Legion Club.
Organisers say everyone - young and old - is welcome to both parades, which are being held to honour the men and women of Redcar who lost their lives serving their country.
