TALENTED young golfer James Ebbage completed a magnificent season by receiving Ripon City Golf Club's player of the year award at the club's annual dinner recently.
The 15-year-old reduced his handicap from 22 to ten as his sparkling play brought him a string of successes. He won the Morgan trophy, the junior cup championship, the Ilkley Centenary junior divisional award and the May medal as well as finishing runner-up in the Tom Wilkinson cup and reaching the final of the club singles handicap competition.
James was also runner-up in the Rabbits Captain's day, played for the Ripon junior team throughout the season and also played for the Harrogate Union junior team in a match against Leeds. His ambition now is to get down to a single figure handicap
