Three teams joined Jack Horners in the semi-finals of the First Division Cup. Newton Aycliffe held off East End's challenge with goals from Chris Postle and Geoff Peadon giving them the edge in 2-1 victory, Gavin Bell replying for East End.
Coundon Miners Arms continued their impressive start with a 3-1 win over Busters. Coundon started well with Steven Denham scoring in the-first ten-minutes, both goals coming after good work from Steven Buttle. The Miners had chances to increase the lead before half time, but were unable to finish. In the second half Busters put Coundon under pressure and got back into the game with a penalty converted by Darren Harris. Miners then stepped up a gear and a Rob Muzur goal put the-game beyond the visitors. The four semi-finalists were completed with Springfield defeating Team Scania 4-2.
In the Second Division Cup, the game between Nestfield Club and Classic World of Fitness was abandoned in the second half, the game will be replayed on Sunday.
The only game in the First Division to survive the weather saw The Northern Echo move into the top three for the first time with a 2-0 victory over Copper Beech DCS. With no score at half time the Echo took the lead through man of the match Darren Stanley after some good work from Rob Carter who turned scorer when Carter finished off a good move with his first goal for the Echo.
In the Second Division, Green Dragon continued their impressive push towards the top with 16-2 victory over Hogans, the home team's goals coming from Alan Tweddle and Matthew Ironside, but they had no answer to the visitors whose goals game from Mick Woolston, Dave Hodgson (2), DaveAbdale (2), a hat-trick from Fred Wood, and a superb eight goals from man of the match, Elliott McCabe.
Greyhound won 5-0 against Northern Spirit Colts who were left to rue a shambolic first-half performance a they dominated the second period and were unlucky not to grab a consolation. Greyhound scored their goals through Simon Broughton and Gary Brown and Ian Gibson (3).
A close game between Sadberge and Bishop Auckland Derby, a double from Mark Grant and goals from Simon Harrison. Andy Wilson, Anth Boyle and Darren Wilson for the home side and goals from Kevin Stewart and Darren Dye, and two from Wayne King completed the scoring as Sadberge ran out winners 6-4.
Into Division Three, goals from John Hughes, Wayne Gill, Shaun Musgrove and a double by Arran Robson gave Oak Tree a 5-3 victory over AXA Insurance. Top three team Brown Trout suffered a home defeat at the hands of Bishop Auckland King's Head, a goal from Phil Snowball, was not enough as 10-man King's Head took the points with goals from Ross Mardacker and Alan Meadows.
Biglin News went down 7-1 at the hands of Royal British Legion where Neil Topping scored a hat-trick with Edward Jones, Michael Meredith. Trevor Cook and Wayne Marram completing the scoring for the home side, Lee Scott netted Biglin's consolation.
