CHILDREN from Hartlepool have been enjoying a wide range of activities during their half-term school holidays.
Pursuits as diverse as making bird boxes, rock climbing and producing collages have been on offer at the Summerhill Country Park during the last week.
Youngsters of all ages and abilities took part in the council-arranged activities which were aimed to keep them busy during the week-long school break.
Those who chose to make bird boxes were advised on how to create their own bird home and the best location for their box when they got it home.
Children over eight took part in the rock climbing sessions, which were led by a qualified instructor.
The week's activities ended yesterday with Catch a Dream where the children were shown how to make Indian dream-catchers from a variety of materials.
According to folklore, the dream-catchers are meant to banish nightmares from the room where they are hung.
