A GROUP of Darlington pupils has returned from a music, speech and drama competition with a variety of trophies.
Six girls from Polam Hall School achieved eight first places, complete with cups, bowls and shields at the Teesdale Tournament. A further 17 pupils received certificates.
Rozeena Bhogal won two first places in the sonnet and Bible reading sections, and Zena Kukreja achieved two firsts, in poetry recitation and news reading.
Polam Hall headteacher Helen Hamilton said: "The school is delighted that pupils have returned with such excellent results."
