A consumer watchdog service has been praised for its efforts in a customer survey.
More than 90 per cent of people surveyed said North Yorkshire Trading Standards dealt with queries promptly and courteously.
The survey used a sample of 600 advice service customers.
Head of trading standards and regulatory services, Stuart Pudney, said: "The advice service is a very important part of trading standards. Over 10,000 people contact us for advice each year and many are very upset and worried about their problem."
