Hartlepool United's Norwegian contingent could be boosted with the arrival of Tommy Knarvik.
The former Leeds midfielder is set to move to Victoria Park on trial after Pool boss Chris Turner took advantage of his club's close links with crack Norwegian outfit Brann Bergen.
Turner took in Brann's final game of the season - a 4-0 win over Molde that clinched a place in next year's Champions League qualifiers - when he enquired about Knarvik's availability.
And with the Norwegian season finished, Turner will take a look at the highly-rated 21-year-old who will join compatriots Martin Hollund, Tim Sperrevik and Thomas Tennebo at Victoria Park.
"He's coming over and we have take a good look at him,'' said Turner. "I need to see if he is the sort of player who can improve our squad and see if we will benefit from having him here.
"To be honest, there is nothing to lose by bringing him over.''
Brann director Arne Mller said: "It is a good opportunity for Tommy to go to Hartlepool.''
Knarvik played six times for Brann last season and was a regular in Leeds' junior sides for two seasons without making the step up to the first team.
Knarvik's trial comes on the back of last week's capture of another ex-Leeds midfielder, Mark Tinkler, who moved on a free transfer from Southend.
But Turner is still suffering on the injury front, with first-choice strikers Kevin Henderson and Anth Lormor still sidelined. Both have knee injuries and are recovering from keyhole surgery.
"Anth will be out for at least three weeks,'' admitted Turner. "He had an operation last week which was similar to Kevin's.
"He has had his knee cleaned up and flushed out and the specialist is very happy with their progress. The only problem is that you can't beat time for healing injuries and we have to wait.''
Meanwhile, Knarvik's teammates Azar Karadas and 16-goal front man Thorstein Helstad are poised to move to Leeds on trial.
The pair impressed against a Leeds side during their pre-season campaign last March - which included a 3-1 defeat against Pool - and boss David O'Leary has been keeping tabs on the duo.
Sunderland have also been watching Karadas and boss Peter Reid admitted: "He's a player we rate highly. ''
