One of North Yorkshire's best-known landmarks, Sutton Bank, near Thirsk, North Yorkshire, is to be closed to traffic for three days this month to allow engineers to carry out safety work to the rock face.
The work was identified during an inspection of the rock face last month and needs specialist contractors to carry out the repairs.
It is due to begin on Monday, November 20, and the road will be reopened on Thursday, November 23
