AMATEUR pool player Peter Allison showed the professionals how to do it when he competed in a national competition.
The 26-year-old, from Darlington, was runner-up in the competition, which attracted players from across the country.
Despite being an amateur, Peter, of Drury Street, beat several professionals on his way to the final, and then only narrowly lost that, by five games to four.
The experience gained in the competition, held in North Yorkshire, has led to Peter considering turning professional.
"I would like to do it next year, but would need to find sponsors to allow me to compete in competitions around the country," he said.
