A YOUNG people's centre in Redcar has celebrated a new home with a housewarming party.
The OK4 Young People's Centre has moved from Milbank Terrace to Coatham Memorial Hall and held a party last Friday, attended by the Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland, Councillor Arthur Dobson.
Centre coordinator Jill Jakubowiak said: "The housewarming party provided the opportunity for us to reflect upon our previous achievements, while also letting people know about our vision for the future."
The centre provides information, resources and support to young people aged 16 to 25.
Ms Jakubowiak said: "We want to give more individual support to young people and we are having quite a big volunteer recruitment campaign now we are settled here. We are looking for volunteers who can offer cooking skills and can help look after our coffee bar and support young people who are cooking in the kitchen.
"We are also wanting volunteers who can give one to one practical support to people to help them look after themselves in tenancies."
Anyone interested in helping should call Jill at the centre on (01642) 491070.
