Of the North Riding Challenge Cup games to ahead, B and H King's Head, top of the league, came out on top in their tie at home to Boosbeck United, leaders of the Cleveland and Eskvale League.
King's Head went in front on 20 minutes when Brian Crawley headed the ball into the path of Darren Askew to score from ten yards out but five minutes before the break, Boosbeck equalised.
With wind advantage in the second half, King's Head dominated and booked their place in the next round when Paul Dowson latched on to a well struck goal kick.
Dowson headed the ball forward for Crawley who made no mistake going one on one with the keeper.
Ennis Square gave up home advantage to ensure that their North Riding game against Grangetown YC went ahead and for 70 minutes all seemed to be going well.
Ennis took an early lead and then went further ahead and were looking comfortable until they conceded a penalty.
Grangetown duly converted the spot kick and within minutes they were back on terms.
Now in full flow, Grangetown took control, firing home three more goals in normal time to secure victory.
Middlesbrough Post Office came out on top in their all-Stokesley cup game with the Woodmans Arms who paid the penalty for starting the game short-handed.
Paul Newham slotted the ball home following good work from Ian Pinchbeck down the right wing with only a minute gone and it was the same partnership that combined for goal number just before half time.
In the second period, Newham completed his hat trick and David Read scored from twelve yards out to make it 4-0.
Post Office then took their foot of the pedal allowing Woodmans to pull back two goals but they managed to hold their lines for the remainder of the game to secure a well earned victory.
l Only three of the scheduled fixtures survived last weekend with the remaining games being called off due to waterlogged pitches.
