Billy Row Club moved 13 points clear after whitewashing visitors Tow Law North Point. However, Point pulled off a surprise in the captain's game where Ivan Blacker beat Geoff Pratt. Esh Football Club went into second place, one ahead of Esh Stag's Head, who they beat by the odd point.
The leading individual scorers were G Pratt with a maximum and three 140s and D Byrne 140 for Billy Row, D Yeoman with a 15 darts leg with 120 start and five 140s, P McMenamin two 140's and J Parkin 140 for the New Market A and J Smythe three 140s for the Comedian. J Howe of the Moss Inn checked out on 126 with a bull finish.

The Victoria Club opened an eight points gap at the top following their four points home win over Willington Club. Despite being held to a home draw by the Black Horse Tavern, Willington Burn are 13 points ahead of the third placed Prospect Club.
There were maximums from Tony Longhorne of the Burn, Trevor Bourne of the Prospect Club, Paul Hutchinson of the Black Horse Inn, Colin Alderson and Dave Robson of the Quarry Burn and Micky Irwin and Steve Hutchinson of Willington Club.

Tow Law Black Horse came very close to being the first team to beat Crook Coach and Horses this season. The home side led throughout as they took the singles at 4-2 and were ahead after the doubles by 5-4 - but then went down in the double points team game.
Despite this close game the Coach and Horses still lead the table by 22 points from Tow Law New Market B, who are 11 points ahead of the Victoria Club.

Billingham Social Club were at home to The Cricketers Arms from Stockton. The Cricketers got off to a very good start when Karen Monaghan (11.86) beat Chris Cole (11.70) 3-2, Louise Allen increased the lead when she beat Joyce Dunlop 3-1. It was soon level when Wendy Graham (10.29) beat Jane Andrews 3-1 and lady of the match Mandy Stephens (15.99) beat Trish Manton (12.86) 3-0. Shelley Chinnock beat Karen Allison 3-1 to put the Cricketers 3-2 up. Billingham Social won both pairs to make the final 4-3 to Billingham SC.
Burn Valley SC were at home to the M & D Club and the home side walked away with it. Sonya Hepple (12.33) beat June McLoughlin (12.04) 3-2. Lady of the match Claire Stainsby (20.04) beat Barbara Bradley (14.44) 3-0, Pat A Smith (15.18) beat Mavis Parkinson (11.42) 3-0 and Vera Oliphant (16.13) beat Tina Watson (14.19) 3-1. Gail Carhart (10.69) beat Dorothy Pounder (10.27) 3-2 to get M & D's only point. Both pairs went to Burn Valley SC to make the final score 6-1 to Burn Valley.

l Jimmy Lee, one of the stalwarts of Cleveland darts, has died. League spokesman Joe Smith said: "He was the gentleman of Cleveland darts. On behalf of the county and myself I would like to send our condolences to Maureen, his wife, and family.
"He was involved with the county from the start in 1974 and played over 70 matches before retiring in 1985."
