Spennymoor manager Peter Mulcaster has blasted former player-coach Andy Toman.
The former Hartlepool and Darlington midfielder left the Brewery Field after just a month there in October, saying that "things hadn't worked out."
But Mulcaster has now revealed that the parting "wasn't amicable.
"We disagree with what Andy said when he left," he said.
"We fully explained the situation at the club when Andy was interested in signing for us, so he was aware of the problems, many of them financial, which the club is facing.
"We were surprised therefore when he missed one of our games because he said he was ill, and instead he went to a game at Darlington.
"We had another game three days later, but again he didn't attend.
"It was at that point when we decided that we'd had enough. We couldn't carry on like that."
The FA Trophy replay between Whitby and Bishop Auckland, which was postponed on Tuesday night because of a waterlogged pitch, has been re-arranged for next Tuesday which means that Bishop Auckland's Durham Challenge Cup tie against Horden will be postponed.
Whitby's game with Barrow, which was due to be played at the Turnbull ground tomorrow, has been switched to Barrow because the Turnbull
ground is waterlogged.
The Seasiders, meanwhile, have signed midfielder Nathan Haslam from Bishop
Auckland and former Darlington defender David Wells from Spennymoor.
