AT the BSPS Area 3A winter qualifying show at Toad Hall, Thirsk, Lucy Metcalfe scored a double win and took the championship in the novice section with Krestimanci ahead of Francesca Halder on the Welsh Section B Douthwaite Bolero.
The mini championship went to Jessica Field on Moniver Magic Rainbow, owned and produced by Philippa Porley of Castleton and her fiancee Philip Kirby. Second was Billy Neesam with Waitwith Desert Wind.
The Show Hunter tricolour was won by Lindsey Cox from Ripon with Knowle Song And Dance Man, bred by Mrs Anne Furness from Thirsk, with Sophie Burkin and Baxtonhowe Arabes reserve.
Sophie's former ride Micklehill Aquarelle, ridden by Laura Allingham, won the restricted 122cm section and Jenna Cox on Valion took the Intermediate.
Samantha Brayshaw scored a double with Brynoffa Sophie, as did Elaine Ransome on her mother's home bred Linden Lady Felicity
