November 10, 1950: Georgie Pratt, the first Darlington Grammar School Old Boy to represent Durham County, retains his place in the Durham County Rugby Union team to play Lancashire at West Hartlepool.
November 10, 1955: Craghead Welfare have a one point advantage over Esh Winning Albion at the top of the Durham Central League. Cockfield FC and Cornsay Park Athletic are in joint third position.

November 19, 1960: Ronnie Thompson, who was an outstanding performer in the Crook team which won the FA Amateur Cup eight years previously is to rejoin the club after a spell with Whitby and Whitley Bay.

November 19, 1965: With regular goalkeeper Alan Porter representing Durham County, West Auckland bring in Dave MacLaren as a replacement. Left half Colin Barker and forward Keith Walklate are also in the squad to play Shildon at home
