IF you've ever wondered what type of house a top model and her Premiership footballer husband would consider living in, take a look at these pictures.

To many, Darlington would be unlikely to even figure on the shortlist of locations where you would expect to find such a glamorous couple.

However, this is a house which has been viewed by Wonderbra model Adriana Sklenarikova and her French international husband, Christian Karembeu, in their search for a home, as they contemplate settling in the North-East.

At first, the Slovakian beauty was said to dislike Teesside, following her footballer husband's £2m move to Middlesbrough from Real Madrid in the summer.

But now the club say that the couple have taken a shine to the region.

Turning into Woodburn Drive, off Coniscliffe Road, in the west end of the town, the cul-de-sac is clearly an upmarket area - quiet, well-situated and fairly expensive-looking.

But even looking at this house, built in the 1920s, from the street, you have no idea of the unhindered views from the back of the building, or of the spacious interior of the £395,000 home, set in two-thirds of an acre.

The couple are understood to enjoy the countryside and, looking out from the back of the house, over the dry stone boundary wall, there is certainly plenty of that to take in.

The view from the house is out to the River Tees and across vast countryside beyond.

As well as the four bedrooms and an attic room, the list of rooms stated by property firm Jackson-Stops and Staff's brochure also includes a swimming pool "complex" measuring 43ft by 22ft, with patio windows.

A double garage takes up much of the street frontage, while the home also has reception and rear halls, shower room, two bathrooms, drawing room, sitting room, kitchen/ breakfast room and dining room.

The main bedrooms look out on the southern views, while the deep skirting boards and plaster cornices are typical of their period.

In the kitchen, stickers declaring I Love NY may look a little tacky, but would fit in with Adriana's jetsetting lifestyle.

While it is understood the couple have yet to make a bid, and other properties in the area and further afield have been viewed, for a wealthy pair of stars, this has got to be a bargain.
