THERE will be singing and dancing in a town centre to get into the Christmas spirit.
Chart-chasing bands Supersister, Lonyo and The Artful Dodger will be performing in Middlesbrough before the November 19 Christmas lights switch-on.
British Junior Skating champion Debbie Keeley, will be the first on an ice rink being set up in Victoria Gardens.
Councillor Ken Walker, leader of Middlesbrough Borough Council said: "November 19 is an important date for Middlesbrough people's diaries. There's so much going on - they can enjoy Sunday shopping, take a look at the town's new ice rink and of course join the crowds for Middlesbrough's biggest and best ever Christmas lights switch on."
The Christmas Ice Magic festival is being sponsored by radio stations TFM, Magic 1170, the council and Middlesbrough Town Centre Company.
