POLICE have called time on rowdy revellers with a scheme aimed at ending the misery of residents.
Publicans, police and council officials have joined forces with Pubwatch at Low Fell, near Gateshead.
Nine pubs in Durham Road will warn each other of troublemakers by radio, and drinkers who cause trouble or get violent could be barred from all the pubs taking part in the scheme.
Gateshead Borough Council will play its part by helping to keep the area, which has several food outlets, clean and tidy.
