A PUBLICAN has impressed real ale drinkers with his perfect pints to win an Autumn Pub of the Season award.
Noel Roulston, landlord of the Star and Garter, in Middlesbrough's Southfield Road, received the accolade from the beer lovers' group, Camra.
Having done his training with the Samuel Smith's alehouse in London, Mr Roulston believes he knows a thing or two about how to store and serve beer at its best.
His view is supported by regulars at the pub, which serves four real ales at a time, as well as holding regular beer festivals.
Mr Roulston, who has also been recognised by three awards from Newcastle Breweries, said he was "over the moon" with the latest tribute
