A REDCAR couple have pledged their support to a Teesside animal charity for helping them to find a new home for their pet dog.
For health reasons, Ron and Agnes Wilson had to let their much-loved three-year-old Terrier-cross Jake be rehomed.
Mr Wilson tried contacting national animal charities with no success and approached Saltburn Animal Rescue Association.
Mr Wilson said: "Within two hours they got in touch to say they had found a home.
"They have an excellent service and we have given them a cheque towards their sanctuary appeal. We are very grateful and it just goes to show what a local organisation can do," he said. "We are going to support SARA wherever we can."
