A SERIES of visitor days will take place in Sunderland to highlight disabled facilities at a recently-extended shopping centre.
Sunderland's Shopmobility unit provides equipment to help disabled people around The Bridges shopping centre, which has undergone a multi-million pound expansion.
The visits have been organised by the City Centre Mobility Group, and funded by the City of Sunderland.
The idea is to introduce disabled people to the scheme which is supported by transport operators Nexus.
The unit is open seven days a week, and offers a range of free services such as motorised wheelchairs and scooters for hire.
Recliner chairs and kitchen and bathroom aids can be also be bought there.
Membership is free.
