HALF the field from the original 48 starters over Brian Chandler's well-built track went through to an excellent jump-off for the Equiline Horseboxes Discovery qualifier at Stainsby Grange.
The first ticket for Solihull went to Stephanie Roundsmith, 17, from Billingham, on the nine-year-old grey Thunder Spark, owned by Anne Spence.
Stephanie, who is trained by Peter Allen, has only been riding at affiliated shows for 18 months.
The second tickets produced a dead heat between Paul Barker and Sophia Cuthbert. Paul was riding the six-year-old Lough Rey by Seaman Ship, while Sophia, from Bishopton, partnered the five-year-old mare Denholme Delight, by Eugano out of Denholme Duchess.
Sophia also clinched the fourth ticket on Joanne Ferguson's River Dipper and her former mount Denholme Little Earner, ridden by Natalie Nunn, took fifth.
The final ticket went to Ian Hammond on Unsuitable Recruit.
