Darlington 21st Allstars
The Under-16s kept their unbeaten league record with a 3-2 victory at previously-unbeaten South Bank Juniors. Allstars scored in the first minute of each half but allowed the home side to get back into the game by easing up after taking a 3-0 lead. Stuart Ford became leading scorer at the club with a brace of goals, making it 13 for the season, and Paul Strickland got the other one. Goalkeeper 0avid Raine saved a penalty and he was named Man of the Match.
The Under-12 team gained their second league victory out of four games played, a 1-0 derby match win at Spraire Lads. After a goalless and even first half, Allstars started the second-half strongly and scored the only goal of the game, Kyle Swankie netting after good build-up play. While Dan McLachlan and Scott Wilson both had excellent games, Swankie shaded the Man of the Match award.
The Under-13 team were up against an Under-14 side, Sunderland Hendon Vics, in the Durham County Cup, a home tie played as an away game, and battled valiantly for a 3-3 scoreline at full-time. John Paul Swift had a day to remember, scoring all four goals and winning the Man of the Match award.
The Under-11 Colts were in Richmondshire League Cup action against Thirks and despite more than holding their own up to half time, produced a second-half display where they primarily did not play their usual game and eventually lost 3-1. Craig White got the goal and Sarn Hickman was Man of the Match.
The Under-13 Colts returned to league action, after a gap of seven weeks, at top-of-the-table Whinney Banks YCC and while scoring their first goals of the season, went down 10-2. Adam Yeadon and Chris Wood got the goals and Darren Bennett was Man of the Match.
The Under-11 side travelled to Hartburn Juniors and disappointingly lost 5-2. In a poor performance which brought only their second defeat in seven league games, Mark Buckley and Man of the Match Jack Henderson got the goals but Hartburn were worthy winners in the end.
At seven-a-side level in the Richmondshire League, the Under-9s travelled to Catterick Village and lost 2-0 against a well-organised team. Josh Phillips was named Man of the Match for a tenacious performance. The Under-9 Colts were also at Catterick Village and won 4-0.
