THE 1930s musical Anything Goes, by Cole Porter, opens at Stanley Civic Hall, on Tuesday.
A few tickets are still available for the show, performed by South Moor and District Operatic Society, which includes hits Anything Goes, You're The Tops, I Get a Kick Out of You, and Friendship.
"We're really excited about this one," said the show's principal actress, Lindsay McPhail.
"It's been really great fun, and the nice thing is we've got plenty of men in leading roles this time.
"We put out an appeal for more men, and we got a brilliant response, so this production could be our best for some time."
The story involves an escaped convict on a cruise liner.
Two mini-cruises will be offered in a raffle.
The prize has been donated to the group by DFDS Seaways, which is sponsoring the show.
Tickets for Anything Goes, which runs until next Saturday, are available from Stanley Civic Hall, or by ringing Jean Hughes on (01207) 235880
