TOWNSFOLK in a north Durham community are to hold a conference to discuss ways to improve the area.
The people of South Consett, including the Moorside, Grove and Berry Edge estates, will develop an action plan.
The conference, organised by community groups and residents, will consider how to improve education opportunities and social conditions.
After the conference, residents will work on the proposals in the action plan, with the help of local agencies.
The conference will start at 9.30am, on Wednesday, at Moorside Community College, Dunhelm Road, Consett.
