Two academics at the University of Newcastle Medical School have won the BUPA Foundation Communication Award. Dr John Spencer and the Rev. Bryan Vernon of the university's Department of Primary Health Care, developed a workshop for trainee doctors aimed at increasing communication skills among minority groups.
