VOLUNTEERS at a country park hope to have helped bird watchers blend into the scenery by taking part in a workshop at the weekend.
Countryside wardens at Stillington Forest Park, near Stockton, invited people to help create a bird watching screen for local enthusiasts.
It was made by weaving rods of willow together. When the rods are put in the ground, the willow takes root, and it is hoped the screen will shoot in spring.
Warden Ian Bond said: "Robins, goldfinches, linnets and skylarks are regular visitors to the park and the screen will mean that, come April, bird watchers can look on while blending into the scenery.
