CARS in Spennymoor were targeted in a series of overnight raids.
In the early hours of Saturday, a Peugeot Boxer van in Whitworth Meadows had a window smashed and a black Nike three-quarter length coat was taken, plus a Nokia mobile telephone.
Police believe that during the same period, thieves broke the window of a Volkswagen Transporter van in the same street and took a yellow Karcher power washer.
In nearby Osbourne Road, £85 in cash was taken from a Vauxhall Nova during Saturday morning.
In South Street, also during the early hours of Saturday, a Roadstar radio cassette player was taken from a Vauxhall Astra by thieves who forced open the door locks using a screwdriver.
Also in South Street, during the early hours of yesterday, the number plates were taken from a car.
