A town hall puts on its entertainment hat next month.
Events to suit all ages and tastes take place at Bishop Auckland Town Hall in December.
There will be theatre, music and popular annual events, including the annual Civic Society Town Quiz, on Wednesday, December 13, at 7.30pm.
Children's theatre includes the Edinburgh Puppet Company on Monday, December 11, with Peter Pan.
The Castle Players bring their reading of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland on Sunday, December 17.
Northern Opera provides the musical highlight of the month, on Saturday, December 9, with Party Time in Vienna, a production of excerpts from Johan Strauss' Die Fledermaus.
Special events include the Christmas crafts fair, on Saturday, December 9, from 10am to 3pm, and the Christmas dinner dance on Friday, December 22, at 7.30pm.
A Christmas Cajun supper dance, on Saturday, December 23, at 8pm, features the Cajun Aces.
Into the new year, the NTC Touring Theatre Company and Jack Drum Arts present Cinderella and the Dance to the End of Time.
The Bishop Auckland Theatre Hooligans stage Pitheaps, by local drama instructor Stephen Elliott, also in January.
