FANS of the animated film Chicken Run can find out exactly how the idea for the box office hit was hatched at a series of exhibitions in the region.
The highlight of the exhibition is an authentic set from the movie, complete with the Plasticine stars and miniature props.
The set on show at the displays, which will open today at Gateshead's MetroCentre, and then at Barnard Castle tomorrow, is of "Hut 17", which was the focal point of the film.
The exhibition will also show, step by step, how directors Nick Park and Peter Lord, who shot to fame with Oscar-winning Wallace and Gromit, made their first feature-length film.
The tour of the North-East is to mark the forthcoming launch of Chicken Run on video and DVD, on Monday, December 4.
The exhibition will be at the MetroCentre today, and then at Enterprise House, Harmire Enterprise Park, in Barnard Castle, tomorrow.
