AN extra £100,000 is to be spent on job creation in Darlington.
The money, which is being made available through the Citizens' Fund, will be used to enhance projects and initiatives provided by the Darlington Borough Council's economic regeneration team
Among the schemes is the Employment Premium, which aims to create jobs and help people to find work. The Citizens Fund will be used to extend the scheme and attract additional funding.
The total project will cost about £250,000, with money secured from the private sector, the European Social Fund and Darlington Borough Council.
Another initiative is the Darlington Jobs Fair 2000, which aims to assist employers in the town to match job vacancies with the skills of the available workforce
