A NORTH Yorkshire group of Morris men have said farewell to one of their founder members.
Keith Giddens is moving away from the area, and his swan- song for the Richmond-on-Swale Morris Men was at the Children in Need extravaganza, at Richmond Castle, at the weekend.
Leaving with him will be teenage son Stuart, also a member of the group for the past ten years. Both were presented with gifts to celebrate their achievements with the dancers, during a brief ceremony at the Black Lion, in Richmond.
Keith was given a specially- commissioned watercolour by local artist Trisha McLaughlin, depicting the group in action, while Stewart was awarded his first full-sized tankard. A farewell sing-song followed
