CITY council chiefs were in London yesterday to outline plans to improve services for young people.
Colin Sinclair, Sunderland City Council's chief executive, told a one-day conference at Local Government House about pioneering proposals for Public Service Agreements, which are a partnership between local and central Government designed to deliver improved services.
Sunderland is one of 20 local authorities to pilot the scheme, which involved negotiations with the Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions and the Treasury
