The Guisborough Motor Club had an entry of 60 for their East Yorkshire Centre Trial at Charltons near Guisborough on Sunday.
Last year's winner Sean Robinson had to settle for second place behind Ian Austermuhle of Rosedale, who dropped just six marks over four laps of the ten-section course.

l The Consett Motor Club were also in action on Sunday, but first they had to change their trials venue from Lambshields near Edmondbyers, which was waterlogged, to Buttsfield Quarry, Castleside. This annual Switzer Trophy trial is always well supported and on Sunday 108 competitors took part.
In-form Mike Phillipson from Willington, who has won the event for the past two years, won by a margin of nine marks from Colin Ward of Stanley. Young John Crinson was a further three marks down.
Phillipson completed his first lap of ten sections without loss of marks and his first mark finally went at the first section on the second lap. Ward lost two and Crinson one up the big waterfall.
Crinson dropped out of the reckoning when he had a five on the 5ft rock step at section three.
